Vortex flowmeter is a kind of fluid oscillating flow meter based on the principle of "Carmen Vortex". When a cylinder with a non-streamlined cross section is inserted into a flowing fluid, two rows of staggered vortices will be generated on both sides of the back of the cylinder. The frequency f of vortex separation is directly proportional to the velocity v on the column side and inversely proportional to the width d of the column.

principle of operation
Electromagnetic flowmeter is a flowmeter for flow measurement according to Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. The advantages of electromagnetic flowmeter are extremely small pressure loss and large measurable flow range. The ratio of the maximum flow rate to the minimum flow rate is generally above 20:1, and the applicable industrial pipe diameter range is wide, up to 300mm, and the output signal is linear with the measured flow rate, with high accuracy. It can measure the fluid flow rate of acid, alkali, salt solution, water, sewage, corrosive liquid, mud and pulp with conductivity =1us/cm. But it can't measure the flow of gas, steam and pure water. When the conductor cuts the magnetic field lines in the magnetic field, the induced potential will be generated in the conductor, and the magnitude of the induced potential is directly proportional to the neutral length of the conductor in the magnetic field and the speed at which the conductor moves perpendicular to the magnetic field. Similarly, when the conductive fluid flows vertically in the magnetic field and cuts the magnetic induction force line, it will also produce induced potentials on the electrodes on both sides of the pipeline. The direction of the induced potential is determined by the right hand rule, and the magnitude of the induced potential is determined by the following formula: ex = BDV-formula [1]. From the above formula, it can be seen that when the pipe diameter d is fixed and the magnetic induction intensity b is kept constant, the measured volume flow has a linear relationship with the induced potential. If an electrode is inserted on both sides of the pipeline, the induced potential Ex can be introduced, and the volume flow can be obtained by measuring the potential.
